Frequently asked questions
What does GSM mean?
GSM stands for grams per square meter: the weight of the fabric. The higher the number, the thicker and more absorbent the towel. Supermarket towels are around 350 GSM, while hotels typically use 500. Our towels start at 500 and go up to 850 for bath mats.
What is 20/2 double-twisted yarn?
Two threads twisted together to form one thread. Most towels in this price segment are single-ply. Double-twisted yarn makes the loop stronger, keeping the towel fuller and reducing linting.
Why shouldn't I use fabric softener?
Fabric softener leaves a coating on the cotton fiber. This initially feels soft, but it blocks absorption. After a few washes, the towel will noticeably absorb less water. See Care Advice.
Do the towels shed lint?
Some lint may come loose during the first few washes — this is normal for new terrycloth and will stop on its own. Wash new textiles separately once before use.
Can I order individual items or only sets?
Everything can be ordered individually. The sets are for convenience and are more economical, but you are not obligated to buy them.
Are all sizes available in every color?
Within one collection, yes. This way you can furnish your entire bathroom in the same shade.
I am a hotel or B&B — can I place a business order?
Yes. See Hotels & hospitality for tiered pricing and quotes.
What about shipping and returns?
See Shipping & Returns.
